WyomingLLC Formation vs ZenBusiness for a Wyoming LLC
By Zawwad Ul Sami, Founder · Updated August 16, 2026
ZenBusiness sells formation as a subscription across all fifty states. We sell a Wyoming LLC once, at one price, and then charge only what the state and the registered agent actually cost. Both models are legitimate. The comparison worth making is what each one costs on the day you form and every year after, and where the feature lists genuinely differ.
Quick Answer
Year one is nearly identical: about $498 for ZenBusiness Pro plus agent plus state fee, against our $497. Year two is not: ZenBusiness Pro renews near $458 a year, ours renews at $160.
Key facts
WyomingLLC Formation charges $497 one time, including the $100 Wyoming filing fee, registered agent year one, operating agreement, EIN, and bank applications, renewing at $160 a year. ZenBusiness published pricing in August 2026: Starter $0 plus state fees with no registered agent and no EIN, Pro $199 a year, Premium $399 a year, and a registered agent add-on at $199 a year. Wyoming charges $100 to file and $60 a year regardless of provider.

Five-year cost: one-time price vs subscription
An LLC is not a one-year purchase. Compare the whole hold period, including the $60 Wyoming annual report that every owner pays regardless of provider.
| Period | WLF | ZenBusiness Pro + agent | ZenBusiness Premium |
|---|---|---|---|
| Year one | $497 | ~$498 | ~$499 |
| Each year after | $160 | ~$458 | ~$459 |
| Five-year total | ~$1,137 | ~$2,330 | ~$2,335 |
Every column includes the Wyoming annual report. The gap is entirely the subscription: a tier that renews at $199 or $399 plus an agent that renews at $199 against an agent that renews at $100. If you intend to hold the entity for a year and close it, the models are equivalent. If you intend to keep it, they are not. Our full breakdown is on the pricing page, and the state-fee side is in the Wyoming LLC cost guide.
What the $0 tier does not include
A $0 formation tier files the Articles of Organization and stops there. Wyoming still requires a registered agent with a physical in-state address, so that is a separate purchase at $199 a year on the Starter tier. The EIN is not included, and without an EIN there is no business bank account, no payment processor, and no way to hire. An operating agreement is not included either, and banks ask for one.
None of that is hidden; it is on their pricing page. The point is that a $0 tier is a filing service, not a formed and operational company, and the components you add afterward cost more separately than they do bundled. If you want to see what a complete Wyoming setup actually consists of, the formation guide lists every required piece and the timeline shows the order they arrive in.
When ZenBusiness is the better choice
Choose ZenBusiness when you want one subscription covering entity, banking, bookkeeping, and a website, when you are forming in several states, or when you value a large support organization and a polished dashboard over the lowest renewal price. Those are real products and a specialist does not replace them.
Choose us when the entity is Wyoming, when you plan to hold it for years and want the recurring cost to be the state fee plus an agent rather than a subscription, or when the owner is outside the US and the EIN and banking steps are the hard part. If you have not settled on Wyoming itself yet, read Wyoming LLC benefits first.
