Refund Policy

Cowboy State Filings offers clear, stage-based refund terms. Your refund eligibility depends on how far the formation process has progressed.

Full refund

If your Articles of Organization have not been submitted to the Wyoming Secretary of State, you are eligible for a full $497 refund. State filing typically occurs within 24-48 hours of payment. If you request a refund before that point, you receive 100% back.

Partial refund

If your Articles of Organization have been submitted to the Wyoming Secretary of State but EIN acquisition and banking have not begun, you are eligible for a partial refund. We retain $200 to cover the $100 state filing fee (non-refundable by the state) and $100 registered agent setup costs. You receive $297 back.

No refund

Once your EIN has been obtained from the IRS, no refund is available. At this point, the state filing is complete, registered agent service is active, EIN is issued, and the operating agreement has been drafted. These deliverables are yours to keep regardless of subsequent banking outcomes.

Banking rejections

Banking decisions are made by banks, not by Cowboy State Filings. If all 4-5 banks decline your application (rare, under 5% of cases), no refund is issued for banking specifically. However, CSF will work with you to identify alternative banking options, adjust your application profile, and resubmit to different banks at no additional charge. Your LLC, EIN, operating agreement, and registered agent service remain in full effect.

Additional services

Series LLC setup ($150), holding company subsidiaries ($300 each), and BOI filing ($150) follow the same refund logic: full refund if work has not begun, no refund once filings have been submitted.
